Project Description

JVA was the Civil engineer of record for the 210,000 square foot UCHealth Longs Peak Hospital and Ambulatory Surgery Center that opened in 2018. The project required full land development and replatting of the 100-acre site to create the final 27-acre hospital parcel. Nearly 1-mile of public roads and other infrastructure was required for the development. The Oligarchy Ditch open channel was re-routed with an 8’x10’ concrete box culvert to divert the 500-cfs around the hospital, and several ditch laterals were completely redesigned to maintain conveyance to downstream water owners. The project was designed and constructed in 18 months.

JVA was also the Civil Engineer of record for the four-story 100,000 square foot UCHealth Longs Peak Medical Center adjacent to the hospital that opened in 2022.

This project won ENR Mountain States 2018 Best Project – Healthcare.
