What We Do
JVA, Incorporated (JVA) is a Colorado structural, civil, and environmental consulting engineering firm. Since 1956, JVA has provided engineering services to architects, owners, municipalities, and special districts for building, site development, and water/wastewater projects throughout the Rocky Mountain area and nationwide. The firm’s team consists of over 140 engineers, designers, and administrative professionals. JVA staff hold professional registrations in all 50 states and many are members of industry associations and professional organizations.
With a dedication to meticulous design, effective communication, creative solutions, teamwork, and on-time delivery, JVA aims to improve communities through engineering excellence. The team believes in sustainability and understands the importance of resource and energy stewardship, including LEED Accredited Professionals, Certified Floodplain Managers, and historic preservation experts.Â
As a proud legacy firm, JVA focuses on supporting the community. They are prominent sponsors of over 30 nonprofits and organizations. JVA also has a strong internal corporate culture with sponsored events and social activities throughout the year.

LGBTQ+ ERG
The JVA LGBTQ+ group serves to recognize and enhance diversity and inclusivity for the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, and Non-Binary communities and allies. This group contributes towards our common vision for a workplace where gender expression/identity and sexual orientation is respected and celebrated.
Racial awareness and cultural equity
The RACE ERG promotes racial equity, diversity, and inclusion at JVA by fostering understanding and awareness of racial and cultural issues. We empower underrepresented employees and allies to connect and challenge discrimination through education and engagement. Our goal is to create a safe and inclusive space that values and supports all employees.
Women’s+ Impact Network
JVA’s Women’s+ Impact Network (WIN) is an Employee Resource Group with a mission to empower JVA employees to become leaders and champions in the industry. This is done by facilitating professional growth and reducing gender bias through education, mentorship, visibility, accountability, and engagement to enhance JVA’s strong and cohesive culture.
Young Professionals
The JVA Young Professionals (YP) group serves as a resource to empower and support the growth and success of young professionals and works to establish relationships between young professionals and senior staff. This group is comprised of young professionals from all departments and offices and is designed to bring the young professionals of JVA together to build relationships, share resources, and encourage each other.
Global Engineering
JVA’s Global Engineering Committee (GEC) was founded to help provide engineering solutions for global communities in need. The GEC’s mission is to empower local and global communities by developing sustainable engineering solutions that promote access to clean water, sanitation, and other basic human rights. To help achieve these goals, the GEC has three subcommittees: college mentorship, domestic efforts, and global efforts.Â
