JVA is seeking a full-time Project Engineer to join our Historic Preservation Studio within the Structural Engineering department of our employee-centric firm. The Senior Project Manager makes decisions and recommendations that are recognized as authoritative and have an important impact on extensive engineering activities.  Maintains extensive contacts with key engineers and principals of other organizations.  Individual has demonstrated creativity, foresight, and mature engineering judgment in anticipating and solving unprecedented engineering problems, determining objectives and organizing projects, and developing standards and guides for engineering activities.  Supervision received by Senior Project Manager is essentially administrative with assignments given in broad general objectives and limits.

CIVIL PROJECT MANAGER

The Civil Project Manager has full technical responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating civil engineering related project assignments. This role manages a team of talented engineers to develop designs and solutions for projects with unique site challenges. This involves exploration of design opportunities, scope definition and selection of problems for investigation to develop novel concepts and approaches. Work at this level typically requires approximately 10 to 15 years of extensive, practical, and progressive experience with grading and drainage, utility and roadway design and municipal review processes in Colorado. Supervision received is mostly project-based, with assignments given in terms of broad general objectives and limits.

Design Engineers support and collaborate with the design teams on a wide range of site development and infrastructure projects across Colorado. The Design Engineer receives technical guidance from Project Engineers and Project Managers in order to provide engineering excellence. Design Engineers receive supervisory review and approval from the project team with opportunities to participate and influence creative and innovative solutions. Design Engineers are responsible for utilizing Autodesk Civil 3D and civil engineering principles to develop thoughtful, creative, clear and concise designs and plan sets for owners, clients and contractors. The primary responsibilities of the Construction Administrator are to represent JVA and the project owner on construction projects from construction commencement through final completion.
