JVA was the civil engineer for Thunder Vista Pk-8 school — the new neighborhood school with an approximately 140,000-sf building and shared community fields and park. The project included utility infrastructure main extensions and parking lots to serve the 1,000+ students, staff, and community park. A goal of this project was to make sure it looks like it fit into the neighborhood while embracing its naturalistic surroundings. This project is completing the Collaborative for High Performing Schools (CHPS) accreditation.
