JVA was the civil and structural engineer for the St. Vrain Valley School District Highlands Elementary School (ES#28) located in Erie, CO. The 70,000-square foot neighborhood school was constructed on 10-acres of vacant land. The PK-5th grade school has 20 regular classrooms, four kindergarten classrooms, two preschool classrooms, with a capacity of 650 students. The project included Town of Erie entitlements and additional coordination and collaboration with the Town of Erie on design of the adjacent regional park.
