JVA, Inc. is pleased to announce Cody Gratny, P.E. and Andrew Sparn, P.E. have been promoted to Vice Presidents and Officers within the firm.
This marks the first time in JVA’s history that more than one new corporate officer has been added within a single calendar year and is symbolic of the firm’s growth.

The firm is proud to have Cody join the officer group and looks forward to his contributions to business development and strategic decision-making. During his 17-year career as a civil engineer, he has worked on many K-12 facilities, higher education projects, civic spaces, parks, and municipal and private developments. He specializes in projects requiring a unique approach to stormwater treatment, community engagement, and dual-purpose site utilization throughout the State of Colorado. Cody also has extensive experience in large-scale healthcare and multi-family developments.
Andrew Sparn, P.E. has also been promoted to Vice President, and will be an Officer within the Environmental Department. Andrew started at JVA in 2011 and specializes in water, wastewater, and infrastructure planning, design, permitting, and construction administration. Prior to joining JVA, he worked as a field engineer and project superintendent in the water and wastewater heavy construction industry.
Andrew established JVA’s Denver office in 2015 and served as the Denver Regional Manager for three years before returning to Boulder and serving as a Senior Associate. With his promotion, Andrew will lead the growing Environmental team out of the Boulder office.
The firm is happy to have Andrew continue representing his department as an Officer and member of the Corporate Management team.
