Project Description

The Sid Copeland Water Treatment Plant is an 8.0 MGD conventional facility including rapid mix, flocculation, sedimentation and mix medial filtration. The existing ton cylinder chlorine gas and chlorine dioxide generation systems at are being removed and replaced with a new on-site chlorine generation system and new chlorine dioxide generation system. JVA designed the facilities including a water softener system, tankless water heater, salt brine tank, in-line booster pump, on-site chlorine generation units (MIOX), and a chlorine solution booster pump skid, all for the on-site chlorine generation. This project also included a chlorine dioxide generator (DeNora), a potable water feed system and chlorine dioxide solution analyzer.
