Project Description

JVA designed and permitted filter upgrades to the City of Grand Junction 16.0 MGD Water Treatment Plant. The project included replacing the existing filter underdrains and media as well as the addition of new blowers and air scour capabilities. The project was a fast track design with only 60 days to complete and submit permitting reports, drawings and technical specifications to the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment. JVA worked closely with the City and equipment manufacturer to pre-purchase key equipment in order to meet the aggressive project schedule. The project was constructed by Moltz Construction and funded by the State Revolving Fund program.
